You may browse, read, and submit the contact form. Don't scrape the site at volume, don't try to break it, and don't use it to spam our inbox.

Quotes and orders

Submitting the form is a request, not a contract. We respond with a quote; the quote is valid for 14 days; a written acceptance (email or PO) creates an order. Pricing, lead time, and grade are fixed at the time of acceptance unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Grading and inspection

We grade boxes honestly. If a delivered shipment substantively differs from the graded spec, contact us within 5 business days of receipt and we'll make it right — replacement, refund, or credit.

Liability

Our liability on any order is limited to the invoice amount of that order. We don't accept consequential damages from manufacturing or packaging defects upstream of us.

Recycling chain of custody

When we accept recyclable cardboard, we represent that it will be processed through certified North American mills. We provide chain-of-custody documentation on request.

Force majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by acts of God, severe weather, labor disruptions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Winnebago County, Illinois.

Warranty

Used and reconditioned boxes carry a five-business-day inspection window from receipt. If a delivered shipment substantively differs from the graded spec on the invoice, you may flag the discrepancy and we'll replace, refund, or credit at our discretion. New boxes carry a 30-day structural warranty against manufacturing defect under normal use; the warranty does not cover damage from misuse, overloading, water exposure, or unauthorized modification.

Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of receipt for any unused boxes in original condition. Return freight is the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to a grading or shipment error on our part, in which case we cover round-trip freight. Custom-built and printed boxes are non-returnable except in the case of manufacturing defect.

Payment & invoicing

Standard terms are net-30 from invoice date for established accounts. Net-60 may be granted on volume programs by arrangement. Late payments accrue interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is less. We accept ACH, check, credit card, and wire transfer. New accounts may be required to prepay until credit history is established (typically three orders).

Confidentiality

Customer pricing, order history, and any non-public business information shared with us in the course of our relationship is treated as confidential. We do not share customer information with third parties except (a) as required by law, (b) with paid processors under contract (see Privacy Policy), or (c) with customer consent. Customer testimonials are only published with explicit written approval.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, photos, illustrations, logo, the "Reused · IBR" stamp design, our grading framework documentation — is the property of Illinois Boxes Recycle. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. Customers may quote from our website with attribution; commercial reuse requires permission.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Illinois Boxes Recycle against claims arising from your misuse of our products (overloading, unauthorized modification, regulatory violation in your industry, etc.). We agree to indemnify you against claims arising from our negligence in fulfilling your order.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from any order is limited to the invoice amount of that order. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data, even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, in which case our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Dispute resolution

For any dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation between authorized representatives, lasting at least 30 days. If unresolved, the parties will engage a mutually agreed mediator. If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Winnebago County, Illinois.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. The unenforceable provision will be interpreted to give effect to the parties' original intent to the extent possible.

Entire agreement

These terms, together with any written quote, purchase order, master services agreement, or statement of work, constitute the entire agreement between the parties on the subject matter. Oral representations and prior agreements are superseded. Modifications require written agreement signed by both parties.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a sale of the business or substantially all of our assets.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce a provision of these terms in a particular case is not a waiver of that provision or any other provision in subsequent cases.

Headings

The headings in these terms are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
